YESTERDAY'S EXPERIENCE

Parrish and Heimbecker Limited has been in the grain and food Business since 1909. P&H entered into the Flour Milling Business in 1964 with the acquisition of the Knechtel Milling in Hanover, Ontario. In 1975, P&H expanded our wheat and durum milling with the purchase of the Ellison Milling Company in Lethbridge, Alberta. In 1989, P&H ventured into pea fractionation milling with the opening of Parrheim Foods in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In 2007 the P&H Milling Group expanded further with the purchase of Hayhoe Mills Ltd. The 2009 acquisition of Dover Industries brought five additional mills to P&H Milling Group, which provided the company the opportunity to better serve our existing customers and provide a national presence to new customers from coast to coast.

P&H is a well established Canada company operating and growing since 1909, and Dover's own history reaches back to 1807, with the establishment of the first mill in Cambridge, Ontario.

TODAY'S INSIGHT

P&H is now the largest Canadian-owned milling company. The two founding families still own and operate the company, which now employs 1,400 people to serve the demands of customers in two dozen countries.

The P&H Milling Group sources wheat from Western Canada, Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada to produce quality flour and cereal products. The lineup includes hard red spring wheat flour for breads and other bakery products, soft winter wheat flour for cakes and cookies, as well as semolina flour for pasta, organic flour, rye flour, and atta flour for chappati. In our speciality milling operation in Saskatoon we also mill pea fractions and barley beta-glucan.

From its mills in Halifax, Nova Scotia; Montreal, Quebec; Acton, Hanover, and Cambridge, Ontario; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and Lethbridge, Alberta, the P&H Milling Group supplies flour to customers throughout Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Iceland and Pacific Rim countries.
